Introduction of Dr. Babaee

Hello doctor, please introduce yourself

My name is Dr. Seyed Hasan Babaee, a specialist in general surgery and a member of the university's academic staff. I have been working professionally in the field of facial cosmetic surgery for about five years, and with the special style and technique I have in blepharoplasty surgery, last year (2022) I performed more than 1,200 blepharoplasty surgeriees, which is a unique record in Iran.

What is blepharoplasty?

The process of removing excess skin and muscles and the internal, middle and external fat bags of the upper and lower eyelids, which causes the upper and lower eyelids to stand out, is called blepharoplasty, which ultimately leads to a positive change in the shape of the eyes.

Who is good candidate for blepharoplasty?

Good candidates for blepharoplasty are those who suffer from drooping of the corners of the eyes or deformity of the eyes either genetically or as a result of aging or some natural life events. Of course, this operation is not necessarily limited to these people, and in general, blepharoplasty is a suitable option for all those who are dissatisfied with the shape of their eyes.

Is it possible to do daily activities after blepharoplasty?

Blepharoplasty is performed under general and local anesthesia. In the blepharoplasty that we perform, due to the fact that local anesthesia is used and no drugs enter the patient's bloodstream, Client can be discharged on his own feet immediately after the procedure. Of course, for the first two or three days after the operation, there may be very little watery blood secretions, and swelling and bruising may be experienced to a lesser or greater extent. But these natural side effects will not interfere with daily life, and practically daily life will have a normal flow.

What is Canthoplasty (cat-eye surgery)?

Canthoplasty, also known as cat-eye surgery in general, is an elective eyelid surgery that can modify the shape and size of the eyes. It reshapes and repositions the upper outer corner of the eye, giving the eye a cat-eye shape, which is considered attractive.

How long does blepharoplasty take?

Blepharoplasty, which is performed by our team under local anesthesia, usually takes about 1 hour and, of course, is accompanied by many complex details, and in addition to excess skin and muscles, fatty tissues are also removed.

Does blepharoplasty have side effects?

If blepharoplasty is performed by a professional and specialized team, there are usually no side-effects!!

Of course, swelling, bruising, pain and inflammation of the wound experienced in any surgery are not considered complications, and naturally, in blepharoplasty, the healing process will be time-consuming, and it will take about six months for the final form of the eyes to appear. But these are not considered complications and this procedure does not affect our vision and eye movements, so there will be no special side-effects.

Does blepharoplasty go away?

If the blepharoplasty operation is done well, I emphasize that if it is done well and in the hands of a specialist and experienced person, it is not go away!!

In other words, if the surgeon does not limit himself to removing excess skin and has sufficient experience in removing fat tissues and muscles in addition to good expertise, It will be stable.

Of course, normal aging that includes all parts of the face and body will naturally be experienced in this case.
